If you want to check out some farms, Sunday Sept. 20th is Open Farm Day in Manitoba!
It’s a great day to see all kinds of things you normally wouldn’t get a chance to do so – meet the farmers, try out some new activities, see how their farms work etc.
There are farms participating all over the province, you can check this map and plan your trip. There are a lot of really great choices, something to look over with the family and pick a favourite spot, or even a few and make a whole day of it!
If you don’t want to visit a farm but want to check out some of the food there are 2 dinners happening too, one is even in the city! In Steinbach there’s a Supper from the Field at the Mennonite Heritage Village, and there’s a Harvest dinner at the Sustainable South Osborne Community Co-operative. You can reserve your spot in advance or buy tickets too so make sure to check online.
