Saturday May 12th from 8am to 4pm the City is having their big compost and rain barrel sale – Compost bins are only $30! They’re worth $100. The rain barrels are $50, great deal too! You can also buy a kitchen scrap pail for $7 and a compost turner for $15. They accept credit cards, debit cards and cheques – there’s 4 locations: Garden City shopping centre, polo park mall, toys r us on Regent and the St. Vital Centennial arena.
These are sold rain or shine, first come first served. No refunds or returns – there’s usually pretty big line ups too. We love our composter, wish had a place for a rain barrel – total money saver!
