What is going on in Winnipeg for Halloween?

21 Oct

From now until Oct. 28th you can check out Boo at the Zoo! Always a fun time, stuff for the whole family – this year you can even buy your tickets online. It’s a lot cheaper to buy to buy tickets in advance, either at Safeway or online, so make sure to plan it in advance. Looks like there’s a lot of new decorations and looks this year – we are really hoping to make it this year! 🙂

Dress Up & Play Parties is having their Halloween event at Lux for Sprouts on the 27th – sounds like fun.

A lot of malls have indoor trick or treating – St. vital centre has theirs from 6-8pm for kids under 10 years old. Kildonan Place has theirs from 2-5pm.

What else is going on around the city? Any super spooky or scary haunted houses? Fun events? Post them up! 🙂

  1. One of the best deals in Winnipeg is buying a membership at the Zoo. With the purchase of one adult membership ($40) all children’s memberships are $10 and each membership gives you a free ticket to Boo at the Zoo (in addition to free admission to the Zoo for a year and discounts on food and merchandise).

  2. Shelmerdine has a fun activity for kids. Last year there was a zip line, tire swing, bouncer, face painting and a maze (all inside). They took a $5 per person donation for Boys and Girls clubs. They also had pumpkins for sale.

  3. If you plan on going to KP I suggest going RIGHT at 2 or don’t bother. Last year was crazy busy and most stores ran out of candy within I’d say the first hour. And a lot of them cheaped out on junk. That said, a few shops did do better. Second Cup handed out actual packs of hot chocolate mix. I’m thinking this year we’ll head to St V instead. Anyone have past experiences to share with that one?
