Safeway has a great sale this week on cereal, one of them is the Special K Protein cereal – it’s 2 for $5. Not bad, right. Well, even better considering at our store (and probably quite a few of them) there’s a coupon book for $1 off that specific cereal. Makes them just $1.50 a box! I saw it at No Frills (who usually has pretty good cereal prices) for $4, so I figured was a good time to grab a few extra. Went in today, total was $14.05 and here’s what I got:
- 2 boxes of cereal
- bag of onions
- green onions
- my fave Silk coffee creamer, for iced coffees – not on sale, but love it!
- blackberries
- tomatoes
- bananas
- avocado
Pretty good deals today, and a few of the things I picked up weren’t on sale, just needed them. Always worth stocking up on cereal when you find a good deal like that. They also have butter on for $3 a pound – I had a bunch in the freezer already, but if you use it a lot, another good one to add.
Great idea to pop into stores for their big deals, especially if you happen to be driving by! Their sales end on Wednesdays, so don’t wait for these. I did see quite a few good produce sales that start tomorrow though!
