Made in Manitoba Products

13 Jun

What are your favourite made in manitoba products? I’m always looking to try new local foods and products, and now that Safeway has the tags for it I’m really paying more attention to what I buy. One of my new favourites is La Cocina tortilla chips! Perfect with some salsa and guacamole, I find them just perfectly salted too. Delicious!

Another local favourite is Cavena Nuda – super healthy, great in salads and you can even pop it like popcorn! A fun treat!

Of course my absolute fave is any food from my own garden! 🙂 But I’d love to try out more Manitoba products, so share your favourite with everyone.

  1. La Cocina are my favorite. Love the plain salted ones. Made a mistake once and got 1/2 salted never again I read the label closely now. The nacho ones come in a close second.

  2. Spenst Brothers Premium Meats at the St. Norbert Farmers Market. Best Farmers sausage you could buy. My in-laws went to Winkler over the winter and we got to pick some up for us because we were going through withdrawal. Also if you have a big dog – they have awesome real bone marrow dog bones for $5. I’ve sent a couple of people from work already.
