Father’s Day is coming up soon. I always love to see what my daughter makes for her dad at school and how she gets excited for the big day!

Since the day she was born they’ve had the craziest bond – they’re just so similar in personality sometimes, it’s amazing! This year for father’s day they are running a marathon together. Maybe not the best gift for dad to have to wake up at 5am and have to run 5km, but he agreed with a smile and they’re both looking forward to it. One of my favourite things is just watching them together, being silly, reading together, her teaching him to rainbow loom – memories that will last forever.

My husband doesn’t like to buy himself anything, he always puts the family first and would rather go without. -I love holidays so I can buy him gift cards which he will then use on himself. A little sneaky, but it’s worked out well so far!

And there are some great gift card promotions running from now until Father’s Day – great idea for a gift for dad, but also what I like to do is take advantage of these deals and stock up on gift cards for things we’ll be buying anyway! Perfect way to get some extra savings.

Here are the deals at Safeway:

– From June 6th to 12th, Buy a $25 Card get 20 Air miles, or buy a $50 Card get 40 Air Miles for SportChek and Joeys Restaurants. Also get 15% off the $50 iTunes Card

– From June 13th to 19th, • Buy a $25 Card get 20 Air miles • Buy a $50 Card get 40 Air Miles on Cara Foods cards.

These deals are valid for BC, MB, SK and AB.

Here are the deals at Rexall:

– From June 6th to 12th, Get 15% off the $25 or higher iTunes Card Denominations. This is one is good for Ontario too.

– From June 13th to 19th, Get 150 Aeroplan Points with the Purchase of a $25 Card for The Keg, Bass Pro, Marks, Spafinder, Sears and

Roots.

Valid in BC, MB, SK and AB.

Sobeys has a deal too:

– Until June 12th,  get 15% off the $25 or higher denomination of iTunes card – valid in BC, AB, MB, SK and ON.

Great way to pick up some gifts for dads, or maybe stock up with a deal for the kids (or yours) purchases on iTunes, maybe you want to go out for dinner, need new shoes etc.

  38. Well since it’s for Father’s day, not really fair for me to pick. But if I had to guess, I would say either Montana’s or Swiss Chalet.
