Winnipeg Pop up restaurant

23 Jan

As you’ve probably heard by now, there’s a popup restaurant opening on the river tomorrow at the Forks. Sounds fun, would make a great night out – dinners there will be $85 and sounds really yummy! Tickets for dinner need to be bought in advance at Deer and Almond.

If that’s not in your budget and you still want to try it out, The Tallest Poppy will be serving breakfast saturdays and sundays from 10am-3pm for the next 3 weeks.

The price for that will be $15 for your choice of 3 items, including pancakes, veggie hash, breakfast corn dogs, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and much more – and your breakfast will come with bannock or corn bread too. I think that’s a super reasonable price for breakfast – can’t even imagine the costs to building, heating and maintaining a restaurant on the river!!

I’m going to be trying to go for sure – something that just has to be experienced! And thanks to Shel for the info – check out her site for all kinds of outdoorsy Manitoba stuff. 🙂

Who’s going to be checking out the popup restaurant? Breakfast or dinner? Think would make an amazing date for sure! Make sure to dress warm!
