If you have been storing a lot of items to give away, or you need some motivation to get rid of a bunch of stuff this weekend – now’s the time!!
September 11th and 12th are the giveaway weekend before winter for Winnipeg. Great time to clean out the garage or basement, closets etc. – find new homes for that stuff.
Make sure to mark what you’re giving away with a free sign, and to put away any items that people could mistakenly think you were giving away. Always a few incidents every time of people either mistakenly or on purpose grabbing things, so be aware even if you’re not giving stuff away that it’s coming up.

It’s a great time to find new stuff too, always lots of construction supplies, if you’re planning any crafty projects, furniture, kids items etc.
