Did you know that Bothwell Cheese has their own store? It’s in the town of New Bothwell, about 40 minutes from Winnipeg. Easy to find, and it’s a great little shop. Lots of cheese and other local products.
We went a few times before and found some great deals – they just finished renovating so wanted to see if it was still worth it.
The selection is really good, big variety of cheeses. Not as many end packs as there were last time, but still quite a few. They had a really big sale on mozzarella when we went, and I’m guessing the big sales change to what they have extra of.
So, is it worth the drive out there? For us, yes. If you’re a big Bothwell cheese fan, it’s worth going to stock up. If you’re just going for a few bricks, it might not be worth it.
Or, go with a friend or family members and share some of the larger packs.
We spent $71 and got everything shown in the pictures. The end piece bags we got three of, and those are huge and have several bricks in them. Anywhere from 4-6 bricks, just in incomplete pieces. We love the spicy one for grilled cheese sandwiches, so it doesn’t matter if it’s not in perfect slices. Same with the red wine cheese.
2 packages of squeakers too, and granola, pasta, hot sauce, pepperoni stick too. And 4 bricks of regular cheese too.
They’re open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm and they’re closed Sundays.
If your family eats a lot of cheese, or if you’re planning a party or maybe some batch cooking where you’ll need a lot of good cheese it’s definitely worth the trip. Also great to try some other new local items too!

My husband drives by New Bothwell to get to work so he often stops in and picks up some cheese. Best cheese around!
