If you are heading to a few stores, it’s a good idea to bring a few masks with you. You can sew some and if if you’re not very crafty, there’s a lot of options for buying them locally. a lot of huge companies have started making and selling them also.

This of course will keep changing and I will keep updating as we go. If I’ve missed any let me know and I will add them to the list.

  1. Essentique Spa & Salon requires a mask, bring your own or purchase for $2.00

Lifemark Health (physiotherapists, chiropractor, etc.) requires a mask, they have some available if you don’t have your own

    • In 1962 there were no cases of smallpox in Canada. Had not been in years. Yet, I managed to contract the virus in a small northern Ontario town in the middle of nowhere. You can be sure that I wear a mask. You can be sure that I use the shields at work.

  2. Aura in Garden city is claiming that masks are required by the health minister. Which is a lie. Other hair salons are claiming the Provincial government requires them. Educate your self people. A site can request you wear a mask the government has not required this!

      • Really?? How will you feel when you infect and potentially cause the death of a vulnerable person? Give your head a shake!

    • Who cares who is saying it? The store is private property and can make whatever regulations they want. If they want to placate crazy non mask wearers by deflecting it to the government than so be it. If you don’t like it then stay away from those stores. Simple.

  3. Not a store, but Manitoba Clinic requires all patients to wear masks when coming to appointments in the clinic. Masks are not provided so you must bring your own. Also they only allow the patient up to the doctor’s office unless an escort is necessary…i.e language barrier, mobility issues, appointment is for a minor (in this case only one parent is allowed to with the child).

  4. The virus is – statistically speaking, not even relevant here in Manitoba so wearing a mask seems unnecessary

    • I disagree. I was planning to go to Aruba and the covid count there went from almost nothing to three time Canada/capita in a month. Exponential growth is possible if we do nothing and this will cause more deaths, more closures and more economic setbacks.

  5. The covid virus is 1.25 microns. Does your chain link fence stop the mosquitos coming in your back yard? Yeah… No. #mathishard #notaboutthevirus… not playing this game.

  6. I will not go into any store or business that requires I wear a mask. I am extremely claustrophobic and will not wear one. Period. End of story. I don’t need anything badly enough to put myself through that anxiety. I will have my groceries delivered then. I will wait years if I have to. No big deal. I will save thousands!

  7. Aura Hair Group has made it mandatory for staff and clients to wear masks since the beginning of Phase One. You can bring your own or they have masks for purchase.

  8. thanks for creating this list, i think im only going to be shopping these stores until its mandated to wear masks in all retail stores
