Spooky Stuff to do in Manitoba for Fall 2017

13 Sep

If you’re looking to get scared this fall, you’re in luck! There are tons of great events happening all across the province – and it’s not just for Halloween anymore! A lot of them are starting super early this year, and a lot of them have tickets on sale, or soon so thought was a good time to round some up! If I missed some, let me know! And if you’re looking for less scary outings, make sure to read this post of the Family Friendly Halloween events.

  • Burton Cummings Theatre is having A Haunted House Experience from Oct. 26th to 31st. Tickets go on sale Thursday Sept. 14th. It sounds really spooky, and there’s even an Afterlife AfterParty!
  • Fear the Living Dead looks terrifying! This year they have a Zombie Chase and a Coffin Escape. They both sound so scary! You can get tickets now, for one or both of the experiences. It starts on Oct. 6th and you can buy your tickets right online.
  • Grim Acres is closer to Brandon, if you’re in that area or want a drive out for a scare! Runs from Oct. 27th to 30th, and they even have the first hour as a no scare hour. But after that, it looks so scary! Proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society which is great!
  • A Maze in Corn has their Haunted Forest starting Sept. 29th. It’s family friendly during the day, and super scary at night!
  • Fright at the Fort – Haunted Circus at Lower Fort Garry starts Oct. 13th. I went to one of theirs a few years ago and it was super spooky! Tickets are on sale now.
  • Terror Garage is just that – a terrifying garage! 4 rooms of horror! It’s free and they take donations for the Canadian Cancer Society. It runs from Oct. 27th to 31st from 6-11pm.
  • A Nightmare on Donald street is happening on Oct. 28th. It’s a huge costume party with prizes, Dj’s and more. Tickets are on sale now and there’s early bird pricing.
  • Terror on 12 is super scary and spooky! I actually went to this one a few years ago and it was great! It starts on Oct. 13th and runs on weekends after that.
  • Six Pines has their Fear by Night event happening on several dates in October, tickets on sale now. There’s a lot to do there, and it all sounds very scary!
  • Spooky Barn is just that – a super spooky Barn! They’re opening on Friday the 13th in October and it’s cash only.
  • The Marine Museum in Selkirk runs a Halloween Haunt on several days starting Oct. 20th – some is family friendly, some is not. I do like that if it gets too scary there’s a halfway point where you can sneak out! This one is cash only, so be aware of that.

Good time to plan ahead, make plans and for some buy your tickets early too! Remember to read all the info on their site before you go – some have health restrictions, or capacity or weather issues etc.   If you’re doing an outdoor one, dress appropriately! Have fun, and get scared!
