On Saturday November 15th it’s the annual Santa Claus Parade in downtown Winnipeg!! Fingers crossed for some good weather!
The parade itself starts at 5pm, but the block parties start at 4pm.
If you’re attending the parade, or will be downtown for other reasons it’s a good idea to check the maps for parking, and what will be blocked off etc. as it’s pretty far reaching. And if you’re heading down to the parade, great idea to take the bus, carpool or walk if you’re close enough too.
Get there early enough to secure a good spot too – and if you’ll be sitting make sure to bring a blanket! 🙂
You can find all the route info, transit info etc. on their website – it’s a really fun event, just a little bit of planning to be done in advance.
Can’t wait to see all of the great floats, and of course the big guy at the end!
I love the Santa Claus parade. It reminds me of a Christmas Story when they head downtown to see the parade and Santa. It’s all so deliciously nostalgic!
