The Red River Ex is coming back to Winnipeg from June 12th to 21st!
There’s a lot of great entertainers and shows to see, we love going every year to see what’s new.
If you plan it out in advance it’s easy to keep costs down – there’s lots of special times and days to help out with that.
Sunday June 21st is Family Day – free gate admission from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and kids can buy all you can ride passes for Kiddieland for only $12. There’s also seniors day, bounce back day and several more with different perks.
You can also buy tickets in advance at a discount.
The shows this year look great – Sinbad’s High Dive show looks like it will be amazing! They’ve had the same high dive company come for a few years with different shows and they’re unbelievable! I’d pay just to see that part! There’s also Sally Bishop’s trick riding show that looks really neat, Rex the baby T-Rex, street circus and much more.
Lots of music too – and those shows are free with your gate admission. This year there’s the Guess Who, Doc Walker, Shawn Desman and many more.
Last year there were a lot of really great food trucks set up, and midway food of course too – but you can also bring in your own food and drinks too which is great.
We’ve gone the last several years on opening day and never really spend too much – kiddo isn’t the biggest fan of the rides so we just take in a lot of the shows and performers and check out a lot of displays – and of course play some games and eat some treats. Here are some of my Ways to Save Money at the Ex tips too from an older post. Just make sure to plan in advance, and give yourself a lot of time to spend there as there’s a lot to see and do. Wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen a hat and a lot of water too!
