If you buy an item and you notice it goes on sale after, did you know that most stores will give you the difference back?
This can be a huge money saver all year round. Sometimes you need specific items and they’re not on sale and you can’t wait for a sale either. Just keep an eye on it after to see if the price goes lower.
So make sure you’re keeping all your receipts well organized.
– Costco’s store policy is 30 days. If it’s now on markdown, the item needs to be in stock still to get the difference back. Make sure to go to customer service with your receipt.
– Canadian Tire’s policy is 14 days – just go to customer service with your receipt.
– Walmart gives you 30 days, but it excludes anything that is on clearance.
– Best Buy will give you 30 days, and not only will they match their own lower price but other retailers. If you plan on doing it there make sure to read the whole thing as there’s a lot of fine print.
– Toys R Us will price match other stores for 14 days and their own store for 30 days. A lot of fine print on that one too.
– Old Navy will do a price adjustment within 14 days. Lots of fine print.
– Cabela’s will price adjust within 30 days, with restrictions on special sales .
– Ikea will adjust the price within 45 days, with restrictions for special sales etc
– Marks will price adjust within 14 days.
