Odd Life of Timothy Green – Review and Giveaway

13 Dec

timothy  I finally got to see The Odd Life of Timothy Green – I had been sick for the premiere and my husband and daughter got to see it alone!  They had both enjoyed it, but my husband told me it really was odd. And he was right – it’s an odd movie! 🙂

It’s the story of a couple who can’t have children – and who put all their hopes and dreams for qualities for their dream child on pieces of paper in a box and bury it in the garden. And then the odd adventure begins 😉

The couple in this film is really lovable and you really root for them – I always love Jennifer Garner in films, she’s always so believable and seems to really choose roles that really suit her. The film shows that things might not go exactly as you planned, even if you wish for something it might not be exactly what you asked for – but to ne ver give up.

This is a great family film – I’d say for those with kids 5 or 6 and up who like to watch full length movies. If you have older kids then it’s an easy choice for a movie night for sure. There’s nothing inappropriate or scary or anything like that at all in the movie. Lots of good lessons, hope and shows kids how much their parents love them, accept them for who they are – really opens up a lot of point for discussion.

And thanks to Disney one lucky person will win a blu ray/dvd copy of this film!

  7. I want this movie because the last time I went to see a movie (I live 1.5 hours from the nearest movie theatre) it was a choice between this one and Magic Mike. Hmm… Half naked men or odd baby emerging from written notes? Lets just say I haven seen this one yet and would like to.
