Markdown Mondays at Costco – tips and tricks!

21 Jan

If you have a Costco membership, make sure you’re taking advantage of all of the markdown deals! Every 4th Monday they drastically mark down many items in the store – the price won’t be highlighted and you won’t see the before price. What you need to look for is anything ending in .97. That means that they have marked it down and you shouldn’t wait to grab it if it’s something you want or need. Odds are it won’t be restocked, there might be a new version of the product coming in or it’s a seasonal item.

Markdowns can be on anything in the store from food to clothing to household items. There can be markdowns at any time so always keep an eye out when you’re shopping. If you want to max them out, make sure to check out the Markdown Monday calendar for 2023.

Make sure to keep your receipts too because if an item you’ve bought in the last 14 days goes on markdown, you can get the price adjusted. It just needs to be in stock to do so.

On Markdown Mondays the best deals sell out very very quickly. This happens at all locations across Canada, not just in Winnipeg. The deals are store specific so it can be completely different at every store. It’s not something that other locations will let you price match or honour.

If you can’t make it on Mondays, it’s a great idea to send a friend or family member in your place. If you are shopping for others, make sure to have all of their sizes for clothing and shoes because you won’t have time to wait on that.Once the items are sold out, that’s it – they are gone and there’s no matching prices at other locations. The best tip is to be there when the store opens and ready to shop!!So make sure to check out the calendar and keep those dates on your phone or home calendar. If you have any questions about markdown Mondays, feel free to ask.

And of course I will keep posting all of the unadvertised deals at Costco every Monday also, like I’ve been doing for years 🙂
