Mardi Gras in Winnipeg – ticket giveaway

28 Jan

Feb. 15th and 16th at the Convention Centre in Winnipeg you get the chance to experience all the fun and magic of Mardi Gras.

mardi gras  It’s on Friday and Saturday night, from 6pm to 2am – adults only.

Sounds like a fun event, they will make it look, sound and feel like you are in Louisiana. There’s an oyster bar, all kinds of specialty drinks. You can dress up if you want, but don’t have to. There’s even a Mardi Gras parade – and music by C.J Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band. The menu is pretty neat – I’m not a fan of seafood at all, so I’d be trying those alligator fritters for sure! Ok, and the deep fried pickles – and the bourbon bread pudding 🙂

Their official charity is JDRF – great way to raise some money for kids with diabetes – and also  to have a fun night out.

You can check out all the details on their site, or buy your tickets right through Ticketmaster.

I’ve got 2 pairs of tickets to give away for this event – one for each night!!

To enter, comment below with what dish you’d want to try while you’re there – check out their menu

To earn a 2nd entry, follow Mardi Gras Wpg on twitter

To earn a 3rd entry, like them on facebook

Giveaway open to all Canadians – but you’ll have to be in Winnipeg to go to the event. I’ll be picking 2 winners, so will be first one to email back with choice that gets their pick of the night. Giveaway ends Friday Feb. 1st at noon – Good Luck everyone!

  1. This looks so fun! The sampler platter would be fun, but I am a sucker for a good dessert so the Bourbon Bread Pudding would be my choice. 🙂

  2. I would love to go and eat as many oysters with tabasco sauce as possible also gumbo is delish and so is shrimp creole. Pick me, pick me!!!(: (: (:

BTW last time I went I meet Dennis Quaid at Mardi Gras.
