Maplelea Girls – Review and Giveaway

1 Nov

Maplelea Girls has the most amazing selection of dolls – and they’re all Canadian! They are beautifully made dolls, with perfect little smiles and eyes that open and close that are very personalized. Each doll has her own backstory, depending on where in Canada she is from.

My daughter received Brianne, and she is Manitoban! She actually lives on a farm outside of Sandy Lake, right by Riding Mountain National Park. And how do I know all of this about Brianne? 🙂 Because every doll comes with a super cute journal, written “by” the doll about herself. Things like where her family comes from (Ukraine), her favourite colour (pink), foods she likes and doesn’t like, and all kinds of great tales, adventures and stories – all written from Brianne’s perspective. And at the end of Brianne’s part in the journal, there are identical questions for your child to answer with their life story too. I love the fact that the journal is in french also!

This is definitely a doll to cherish, something to buy for your daughter, niece, grand-daughter etc. to enjoy together. The doll is sturdy enough for a child to play with, a lot, and of course to sleep in their bed. You can keep the fun going too, since you can get different outfits and accessories, even furniture. When you order a new outfit, you get another page to add in the journal about what would have happened in that outfit!

You can even order matching outfits for the doll and the kid! Such a cute idea!

The doll comes in a beautiful blue box – very impressive. She’s dressed and ready to go. I really like the idea that there are dolls just for Canadian girls, and that there is a great selection of girls to choose from. This is a gift that will be enjoyed, loved and is great to share their heritage or Canadian pride too.

One super lucky person will be winning a Maplelea Girl doll of their own! This giveaway is open to all Canadians, and there’s a few ways to enter:

  5. They are all cute, but I might choose Jenna because she is an East Coast girl. (Never been there but would like to visit someday).

  6. I would choose Jenna because my daughters would love to have a doll that looks like their mommy. Red hair can be tough to find on a doll!

  7. My 9 year old says she would love a Taryn doll of her very own. She really likes her hair. Thanks for such an awesome giveaway!

  8. I would choose Jenna for my daughter Ella, as they have the same beautiful red hair. And my little girl loves to be in comfy clothes just like Jenna, she would be perfect!

  9. I’d LOVE the Saila doll, as I have 2 daughters who are First Nations. When my oldest was first with us, I requested that it might be nice to have dolls, toys and such that were more representative of diverse skin tones. It was so hard back then to find not too expensive multiracial dolls and the Indigenous ones were the cheezy kinds found in tourist shops. We managed to find one decent one for her. My youngest is almost 4 and it’d be awesome to have such a lovely Inuit doll. So cute!

  10. I really like the maplelea friends. I would get one that looks like my daughter. DD loves to tell stories so she would have a blast creating her doll’s back story!

Adding this to the Christmas list!

  11. I’d choose Taryn cause she would fit into our family since she looks like my girls. Plus I love the Canada outfit. How cute!
