If you’re looking for something fun and different to do this weekend, the Manitoba Stampede is happening in Morris from July 21st to 24th.
It’s only about an hour from Winnipeg, so makes for the perfect daytrip. With gas prices so cheap right now, it’s a fun option for a great day out as a family.
And there is tons to see and do there!
There’s the RCMP Musical Ride on Saturday at 2pm and 7pm and on Sunday at 2pm. This is something I’ve never seen before but can’t wait to go see – I hear it’s amazing!
And because they’re Manitoba’s only Pro Rodeo, except to see a high level of sportsmanship in a lot of events – bareback, saddlebronc, steer wrestling, tie down roping, ladies barrel racing, and bull fighting. There’s also World Championship Pony and Chuckwagon & Chariot Races, Thoroughbred Chariot Races with featured Ben Hur Event. If you’re a rodeo fan, this is for you. If it’s your first rodeo, you’ve picked the right one! 😉 There’s so much happening, make sure to check the events page to plan your visit out.
There’s a lot of other stuff happening too – Midway, lots of stuff for the kids, Beer Gardens and much more.
You can buy tickets online or when you get there – they vary from grounds only admission for $5, to family passes ranging from $55-75 for the day.
This is a great idea if you have family or friends visiting – great for the full Manitoba experience 🙂
