How to quickly check for recalls on your car and more!

14 Dec

If you’ve bought a used car, or just unsure if you’ve missed any recalls on your car, it’s super easy to check online. You might think the dealership will call you if you bought the car new, but it’s not guaranteed – and if you’ve bought it new, the previous owner might not have fixed all of them. Some of them can be small details, but it’s a free fix so might as well get it done. And some can be pretty large, important repairs.

I checked a few cars for people that I knew and a lot of recalls came up – we recently had ours fixed after checking and it was super easy, and best of all it’s all free 🙂

You can search here just by make, model and year. No vin needed. They got rid of the vin option.

Takes just a second to check – I looked up a few vehicles less than a year old and found recalls that the owners hadn’t been notified of yet.

If you do find that there are recalls on your vehicle, just phone a local dealership for that brand and make an appointment to get them fixed. Super easy – and better safe than sorry.

You can also register your tires and car seats and be notified of any recalls.
