The Forks is having a ton of great events for the holidays, lots of fun stuff for the whole family.
– From now until Dec. 24th you can bring a new unwrapped toy for the Tower of Toys – which go to the Christmas Cheer Board.
– Dec. 3rd from 5-9pm it’s their Holiday Bazaar. There’s entertainment, wine and a hot chocolate bar to enjoy while you check out all the great shops. There’s also free childcare, gift wrap and coat check with a donation to the Cheer Board.
– Pictures with Santa are on Dec. 4th, 5th, 18th and 20th. Times are 6:30 to 8pm on Fridays and 12-3pm on Sundays. Bring your own camera and meet Santa in centre court.
– On Dec. 5th at 10am, head to the festival stage for the Santa Shuffle. It’s a 1km Elf walk or a 5k Santa Shuffle fun run in support of the Salvation Army. You have to preregister for this one.
– On Dec. 6th, 12th and 18th there is a Signing Santa coming. It’s from 12-3pm on Saturday and Sunday and 6:30 to 8pm on Sunday. Hearing impaired kids can get the chance to tell Santa their wish lists.
– Dec. 6th from 10am to 2pm there is a Christmas Cheer Board Brunch Buffet at the Beachcomber restaurant. Tickets are available in advance and all the proceeds go to Winnipegers in need.
– Dec. 12th and 13th from 5-9pm there is a live Nativity Pageant, with real animals.
– Dec. 16th from 6-8pm there is a wreath making workshop. It’s $25 and you have to register in advance. Sounds fun and you get to make a wreath to bring home.
