Happy Holidays – and Boxing Day Deals of course!!

24 Dec

Wanted to wish everyone Happy Holidays – whatever you celebrate or don’t –  I hope you get some great family time in this last week of the year 🙂

It’s been another great year and I’ve been happy to be part of such a great community. We are more than deal finders, I was amazed this year at the generosity of Manitobans and how many great things they put together to help out families in need. The people in our facebook group really wowed me this year – and already so many plans for 2014 going!

There are so many boxing day deals – lots have already started, but here are some of my favourite ones. I know a lot of people now do their shopping on boxing day and celebrate a little later.

– Michaels has a coupon for 25% off your entire order including sale items that’s valid on Dec. 26th.

– Canadian Tire has lots of great sales of course, but they also have a spend $75 and get a $15 promo card on boxing day.

– Shopper’s Drugmart has seniors day on boxing day – 20% off regular items and get a $10 card when you spend $50 or more. They have all their seasonal merchandise up to 50% off that day.

– Old Navy will be a busy one – buy one get one for a loonie on Dec. 26th and 27th.

What is everyone looking for on Boxing Day? My favourite thing is picking up the big gift baskets at a fraction of the cost. Any tips for people heading out to boxing day shop? And what time do you go at?

  1. Dear Nadine, wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas!
Thank you for your money saving ideas throughout the year, for your marvellous giveaways and your fun blog and Facebook site. Thank you for your hard work!
    All the best, Lori N.

  2. We go into Selkirk and check out Canadian Tire and Walmart usually in the afternoon. It is super relaxed compared to the city and often we can still find some popular discounted items at noon. This year we will just be checking out toys for future birthday party invites. If there is a really popular item we are looking for or something that is largely discounted we usually order it online as soon as the boxing day prices go into effect. Like our tablet or DSLR camera both boxing day deals but we did not fight the crowds and bought online

    • I love buying bday gifts in advance too – some gifts you know will work for almost any kid. Always nice for last minute invites, or you just forget 🙂
