Hallmark #7Cards7Days – Challenge and Giveaway!

9 Sep

hallmarkWhen is the last time you sat down and sent someone a personalized card? When’s the last time you received one?

I admit for me the mail is usually full of bills and junk mail – not too much to look forward to anymore. And I’m quite guilty of never sending out anything real anymore, which is really pretty sad. So many holidays and events and usually just a call, an email or just a text even.

Hallmark has a fun challenge – send out 7 cards, one every day to a different person. We had a lot of fun doing this, with kiddo heading back to school it was nice to sit down and figure out who we wanted to write to. And then picking out the card and actually writing – on paper! And then dropping it in the mailbox! Seems like a lost art form, but it’s a great time to get it going again! And I can’t wait to hear what they all thought when they received their cards!

Remember the days of sending thank you cards – for gifts, when someone did you a favour etc.? Why not get back to those days? Kiddo and I always talk about how it would be good to keep a set of thank you cards in my purse and then hand them out when we see someone doing something great. Or when you’re at a business and they go above and beyond. So many chances to thank people every day, and putting it in writing feels great!

Thanks to Hallmark I have a 10 pack of the lovely cards above from designer Sarah Richardson’s collection to give away.

  1. With the cards I’d send written letters to friends and family in BC. We moved to Winnipeg three years ago and I think everyone would be pleasantly surprised to hear from us.

  2. I just posted two cards yesterday, one ‘get well’ card, and one ‘thank you’ card! I have several birthday cards to send this month! I’m a card person! I love sending cards and I love getting them… I send a lot more than I receive, but that is life in the instant messaging age. We seem to have forgotten that it is important to say “thank you!” If I won these cards, they would be well used! Yesterday a friend brought my husband and I a pot of soup, she’s getting a card! This past Sunday a friend brought us a gift of some real honey (thus the ‘thank you’card was posted Monday). I’ve tried getting my nieces involved, by sending them blank cards addressed to me, I wish I could say I’ve received one of them returned, nope…

  3. Daycare workers! I just handed some out when my child moved to a new center. They do such a great and important job for far too low of pay.

  4. I would send a thank you to my BFF. We used to write letters to each other when we were a city a part and different high schools. Now we see each other often, but i don’t ever want her to forget how much she means to me. A nice little thanks for being with me through life would be a nice to send 🙂

  5. I would like to send a thank you card to my daughter because she’s away and I miss her, thank you for being you kiddo!! 🙂 That’s what I would say.

  6. I’d like to send a thank you card to the people filling up my car at the gas station; rain, shine, sleet, snow, whatever they always do it with a smile on their face!

  7. I would send a thank you card to my best friend. I would thank her for being the best friend that anyone could ever wish for
