There are a lot of fun, free activities for kids this summer run by the City of Winnipeg.
There are coupons for buy one get one free swims at any City pool. There’s also a lot of drop in playgroups that are free all over the city.
There’s even a mobile play van for 6 to 12 year olds from July 2nd to August 16th – arts & crafts, sports and games. They’re set up weekdays all over the city. Check the city’s site to see the times for your area – it seems to go all over, for 2 hour windows.
The splash pads (or spray pads) will be open from June 1st to September 2nd – those make for a great fun free outing, bring a picnic and make a day of it! They’re open from 11am to 7pm 7 days a week.
There’s also free swim days, drop in classes and sports for teens and kids and much more! Worth taking a look through it, find your area and mark some of them that sound good on the calendar. 🙂 Also check out your local library, as most of them will be offering all kinds of programs for the summer for many age groups.
