Fall Suppers are a great tradition in Manitoba.

There are plenty to chose from spread out all over the province, there are even several in Winnipeg.

If you haven’t been to one, it’s a lot of fun. Buy a ticket and you get a dinner – meet some new people, sit with some strangers and have a great meal. Or, if it’s in your own town or community, sit with neighbours and family.

The meals are usually huge and a lot of variety, turkeys and all the fixings and all kinds of amazing desserts. Some will have perogies and different types of meals too.

Community members spend a lot of time planning and prepping for these and the meals are delicious.

Great way to see some new towns, meet some new people and try out all kinds of local favourites. We went to one last year, just picked a town at random and sat with a nice bunch of people, ate a lot of yummy food and the pies! So many choices! It’s a good idea too to bring some visitors to, or elderly family members, a nice place for a meal out.

The prices vary from place to place to, but most are very affordable for what you get.

They run from now until the end of October – this website has an amazing list of Fall Suppers in Manitoba so make sure to check them out to plan it out. It’s a fun way to check out a new area too, plan a little daytrip and see the local sights.

Which towns are you planning on going to? Do you stick to your own or do you like to try out new ones? Any we should plan to head to this year?
