Enter to win tickets to the Winnipeg premiere of Disney’s Inside Out!

inside out On June 19th the new Disney Pixar movie Inside Out will be hitting theatres and we can’t wait for this one!

The previews for it look great – it looks funny, but also thought provoking and something that could lead to some great conversations with the kids after. This looks like it will be perfect for so many age groups, and for boys and girls equally. Talking about feelings can be hard sometimes, this looks like it’ll help with that. And of course it looks like it’ll be hilarious and silly all at the same time! Something for the whole family – here’s a write up on the movie:

Based in Headquarters, the control center inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), whose mission is to make sure Riley stays happy. Fear (voice of Bill Hader) heads up safety, Anger (voice of Lewis Black) ensures all is fair and Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) prevents Riley from getting poisoned—both physically and socially. Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith) isn’t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.
When Riley’s family relocates to a scary new city, the Emotions are on the job, eager to help guide her through the difficult transition. But when Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley’s mind—taking some of her core memories with them—Fear, Anger and Disgust are left reluctantly in charge. Joy and Sadness must venture through unfamiliar places—Long Term Memory, Imagination Land, Abstract Thought and Dream Productions—in a desperate effort to get back to Headquarters, and Riley.
And if you can’t wait til the 19th, I have a family pack of 4 tickets to give away to the premiere in Winnipeg, on June 17th at Polo Park at 7pm.

  1. As soon as I saw this movie preview, I knew I had to take my son to see it. He suffers from anxiety, and finds it very difficult to even be in a theatre, so we usually end up waiting until movies are available on pay per view, so we can watch them at home. However, this movie is one he wants to try to see in the theatre! My daughter is also very excited to see Inside Out, and has spent her birthday money that she saved from last summer, to buy a stuffed Joy at the Disney store. She is excited to take Joy to the theatre to watch the movie, and even more excited to get to go to the theatre with her brother for the first time in years! I hope we can win the tickets for the premiere. What an experience that would be for the kids! You don’t know how important this is to us, unless you also have first hand experience with anxiety. Most people take something as simple as seeing a show in the theatre for granted. For us, it’s a big deal!

  2. I want to see this movie and take my brother because not only do I live with anxiety, my brother was diagnosed with depression a little over a year ago and went through some really hard and challenging times. He hit rock bottom and was able to pull himself up and receive the support he needed. I want to see this with my brother because I would love nothing make than to do something fun with him after going through such a hard time.
