Doodle Art – It’s back!!! Review and giveaway

doodle art   Remember Doodle Art? As a kid I remember colouring for hours, the fun of a black and white poster turning into your own work of art!!

I’m so glad this is a craze that has made a comeback!!

The original doodle art print, Ecology, that started it all has sold over a million copies!! Did you know this all started in Canada? Pretty neat!!

We got a Doodle Art kit to try out – comes in a huge tube, and you get a poster and 12 markers. The markers are super good quality, and they have a fine tip and a larger tip – we got the jungle print and almost all of it is fine tip and they’re all still going strong.

The picture I took is ours after about 2 weeks of colouring!!! My husband and I found it really relaxing, and fun to sit down with the kiddo and work on this together. It was awesome to wake up in the morning and find her at the table colouring away!!! It’s actually really nice to colour, not something you normally do as an adult, but you kind of zone out and just get lost in the poster. It’s very similar to doing a puzzle, and a nice alternative. A great idea for those long winter months for sure!!

There’s all kinds of posters too for all people, stuff for kids up to seniors. They’ve even added zombie posters, which I think would be a big hit with the older kids.

We had a great time doing this as a family, and after about 3 weeks we still aren’t done! It looks great though, and we are going to hang it up in kiddo’s room when we do finish it. Already planning out which one we will do next. You can find these at a lot of local stores, or order direct from their website.

  11. I like the bugs and birds one as it would keep DD and DS both happy/busy. But the mini posters are great too with several in a batch like that.

  26. Would have to be butterflies, I remember getting doodle kits as a kid, I wish my daughter enjoyed coloring the way I still do! (oh geeze my tweet is misspelled!) I had no idea the original doodleart had an FB page, or twitter account and was making a good come back. Awesome

  34. I like The sea the best but I think it is because we have it at the cottage…every generation has worked on it!

    But for a different one, I like butterflies the best!
