Disney on Ice just wrapped up their shows in Winnipeg and we had such a great time on opening night!!
My favourite part is always seeing the joy on the faces of all the little kids there – and the big kids too! 🙂
We’ve been going since my daughter was 2 or 3, so we’ve seen a lot of shows over the years. This year the Cars and Toy Story parts were our favourites!
It was really neat to have all our favourite characters from Cars drive out onto the ice! It was kind of like being right in the movie, it looked so real.
And the Toy Story parts were hilarious too! So many different scenes, they recreated so many great parts from the movie.
My favourite moment was when Ken is doing his fashion show for Barbie – lots of quick changes to different outfits. My daughter looked confused and asked me how he was changing so quickly. She hadn’t realized there were a few different Kens!
Another thing I really enjoy is seeing all the pictures on facebook of everyone at the shows in Winnipeg and hearing how much their kids enjoy it!
Something to look forward to every year, there’s always new parts to the show and of course all the favourites too, like Mickey and the gang, lots of princesses and more.

My favorite part of the show was the Fairy Queen…. and of course the bubbles….. and well pretty much everything….. except maybe the prices at the concessions and souvenir stands…. wow $20 for a cup of ice!! (Ok…. so she got to keep the Tinkerbell cup.) I have taken my granddaughter for three years and it’s always a special day for her, her auntie and me.
