Delivery Man is the story of David Wozniak, a 40 something slacker type who is just floating by in life. He’s in debt, his relationships aren’t great but he’s a really likable guy.
20 years ago he made a lot, I repeat a lot! of anonymous donations to a fertility clinic – and now he finds out he fathered 533 children!!
I was really curious to see where they would take this movie and how they would pull off such a strange story line – I found myself loving the movie, laughing, cringing, and really enjoying all of it! It’s one of those weird movies you’re not too sure of, but end up completely loving!
There are so many great characters in the film, his best friend/lawyer was hilarious and tons of jokes all parents will laugh out loud to! His family is great too, and of course his many, many children.
The film takes a different approach to dealing with the children than I expected to for a bit and did it really well. You really get so many different reactions and ways of dealing with it – super entertaining!
This is a great date night movie or to go see with friends – pretty much anyone would enjoy this film, there’s nothing risky or bad in it so I’d recommend it to anyone. I think the rating is 13 or 14, I don’t know a lot of teenagers so I guess it would depend on their sense of humour. The jokes are funny, but there’s nothing too bad for a teenager that I can recall at all.
It’s in all theatres now, and if you want to get out of the cold and lose yourself in a great comedy for a bit check it out!
