Decadent Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip
If you have a lot of apples right now and looking for something different to do with them, this dip is sure to be a hit!
It’s the simplest of desserts, great for a snack or for a late night treat!
All you need is cream cheese, a caramel sauce of your choice and some apples.
Get the cream cheese to a soft consistency, if you don’t want to wait you can microwave it for a few seconds so it stirs well. Depending on how sweet you want it, you can adjust the measurements.
I put 3 parts cream cheese to 1 part caramel – it’s sweet enough, but mostly you get the creaminess and just a bit of the caramel flavour.
Mix it up until it’s velvety smooth – you can just do this by hand, no need for a mixer at all.
I used Shirriff caramel sauce, but anyone will work. Not hard caramels though, you really want this to incorporate well.
Cut up your apples – any kind will work. We used ones from a local apple tree, and also green and red ones from the store so you get a nice variety. The tart ones are great with this.
Slice them up and you’re ready to serve!
This dip is so good I offered to take the kiddo out for ice cream and she asked me to make this instead 🙂
Great little fall treat and the perfect way to use up apples, even crab apples will work with this recipe.
