Daytrip around the Interlake
If you are looking for a fun little day trip around the Interlake area in Manitoba, here are some fun stops that we did last weekend.
Our first stop was the Chatfield Exchange in Chatfield, which is about 90 minutes from Winnipeg. It is just past the Narcisse snake dens so if you are going at different times a year, check if that is a good stop too. This is a very cool thrift store, but also a huge art installation. Totally worth the trip out, and the prices are great in there. There is nothing else in the town though, And cell service can be spotty so keep that into consideration too. They are open Friday to Sunday 10:00 to 5:00. Make sure to double check on their social media before you head out.
Our next stop was the bakery in Arborg.
Lots of great treats and baked goods. It is super popular in that area, and it looks like they have a lot more stuff in the summer too.
Next we went to the thrift store in Arborg - very nice and well organized.
They had some gift sections with new items, and full of all kinds of great stuff in the thrift area.
Then we were off to Riverton, where we went to the MCC thrift store there. Another great thrift store, good pricing and very well stocked.
Then we went to Kahleigh's general store - that was super cute and they had such a fun selection of treats.
They also have a restaurant down the street from the same people, called Kahleigh's Brew Barn. I'll be checking that one out soon.
Then we were off to Gimli which was our last stop.
We went to the Evergreen thrift store which is always great.
We had lunch at Carlo's Cucina and it was really good. My husband requests his fries well done all the time, and people rarely do it. They were super quick with the food and the service was great. Great burgers! We will definitely be back. They have a very extensive menu, and seem to have lots of specials.
We picked up some treats at Sugar Me Cookie for the drive home.

We left our house around 8:30 that morning and we were home by mid-afternoon. So it's very easy to do in a day.
