If you are wanting to eat more local foods this summer, support Manitoba Farmers and Gardeners – CSA boxes are a great way to do it.
You can sign up for a box – they are all pretty different. Weekly, biweekly, different sizes. Some are veggies only, some will have other products. Definitely a lot of great choices available to us! Make sure to check how you get it – pickup, delivery, locations etc.
These also sell out very quickly, so don’t wait if you find the right one.
- Hnatiuk Gardens has it for 16 weeks with 2 sizes available.
- Boundary Creek has several options and runs for 15 weeks.
- Food Ethos has a monthly meat box if you want something different too – lots to choose from!
- Blue Lagoon Organics runs for 15 weeks and includes a big variety of stuff and different choices. Can even add on fresh eggs.
- Wild Earth Farms has 2 sizes to choose from and lots of pickup spots.
- Haven Farms has lots of choices – info for 2022 not up yet but I would contact them if you want a spot.
- Almost Urban Vegetables has a few choices and even a herb add on.
