CSA Boxes in Manitoba 2025
If you are wanting to get a lot more fresh and local produce in the summer, investing in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a great way to do that.
You pay for it in advance and then throughout the summer depending what style you pick, you will get fresh veggies and produce weekly or bi-weekly etc. A lot of them also have different sizes of boxes, so some might work for a smaller family, or you can also split it with friends or family too.
Some of them you pick up direct, some of them have delivery or pickups that might be near you. So definitely worth looking into. It seems pretty expensive at the start, but if you cut it down week by week we found it to be a great deal. It's really nice to always have lots of fresh local produce in the fridge. It takes so much time and work to garden and get everything set up, and there's so many variables with weather and seeds working out.
Some of them also you can put a down payment now and then defer the payment for a little bit. Some also have early bird pricing.
