Here are the Unadvertised deals from Costco from the Regent location in Winnipeg. Lots of good deals, new items too. Unadvertised sales are mostly the same across the prairies – but the markdowns are store specific.
I know a lot of people are waiting for the garden centre to go on sale or markdown – there were a few last week later in the week – I posted those on my facebook page – make sure to follow me there to get all my updates. People send me in pics during the week when there’s new stuff.
One thing people always ask about – and get really confused about is markdown mondays. Markdowns can happen any time but that one specific day is the most of them – you can read all about markdown monday. But really, any time you’re there keep an eye out for the items ending in .97 – you never when they’ll pop up and it can really save you a ton of money. I find that if an item we normally buy goes on markdown I stock up for a long time – if it’s something that won’t expire (shampoo, bodywash, etc.) I buy over a years worth and then never have to think about that again. Just make sure to keep track of those items and that you have room for them too. I like carrying those savings over all year – it really adds up and lowers your monthly bill. If you can find all your staples at different markdowns, you end up with a really short list of necessities after that – I find I’m usually able to get one of ours every month at Costco like that.
You can also preshop for things like clothing, gifts etc – just keep track of it and put the receipts right with the items. If you’re not able to go at the right times, get someone else who does to pick stuff up for you – I find I pick up items for family members if I know they need it, and always good to just have everyone’s size ready for shoes or clothing too.
