Consignment and Thrift Stores in Winnipeg (great places to donate to also!)

So many great thrift stores in Winnipeg – figured time to compile and confirm a master list of them! Time to start thrifting! You just never know what you’ll find too at these stores – and love how it keeps so much out of landfills. Often items are in new or great used condition too. It’s nice that they can find new homes! Some of them will pay you for used items, some are donations only. I’m including hours and days open etc. – but make sure to double check before you go in case they’ve changed them. If there are changes, let me know.

• Canadian Goodwill has 5 locations in Winnipeg – 70 Princess St, 1540 Pembina Hwy, 136-701 Regent, 317 Ste. Annes and 3431 Portage Ave. Check out website for hours, promotions etc.
• The Closet Chick is a trendy, upscale consignment boutique. They’re located at 956 Portage Ave., and open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm, closed on Sundays.
• Darcy’s Arc has a thrift store at 1076 Main Street. Variety of items, and the last Saturday of each month EVERYTHING in the store is 50% off! They’re open Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM,
  Thurs, Fri: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and closed Sundays and Holidays.
• Ellice Buy & Sell is a thrift store located at 804 Ellice. They’re open 11am to 5:30pm everyday but Sunday which is noon to 4pm.
• Kildonan MCC is on Chalmers and open Mon – Sat: 9:30am – 5:00pm.
• La Shop Lesage is at 129A Marion. They buy and sell furniture, appliances and more. They’re open Mon to Fri: 10am-5pm, Saturday: 10am-3pm and closed Sundays.
• MCC Furniture Thrift Shop is at 18 Keewatin St. – 10,000 square feet of retail space, open Mon – Sat: 10am – 5pm and closed Sundays.
• Mission Thrift Store is at 919 McLeod ave. All kinds of household items. Open Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 05:00 pm,Saturday10:00 am – 04:00 pm and closed Sundays.
• Nearly New is a thrift shop run by volunteers. A project of the The Children’s Hospital Guild of Manitoba. It’s located at 961 Portage ave.
• Once Upon a Child has 2 locations in Winnipeg – one at 1330 Ellice and one at 1600 Regent. They buy and sell kids clothing, toys and items.
• Plato’s Closet has 2 locations in Winnipeg – one at 1094 Nairn, other at 1190 St. James. They buy and sell clothing for men and women.
• Prairie Crocus Thrift Shop is at 930 Nairn and open Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm   Saturday: 10am – 5pm. Closed Sundays.
• Redeemed Consignment Store is at 410 Academy Road. Open Mon – Wed: 10:30 am – 06:00 pm, Thu – Sat: 10:00 am – 06:00 pm. closed Sundays.
• Salvation Army has 8 stores in Winnipeg – St. Boniface, Nairn, Wolseley, Empress, Garden City, Fort Garry, Charleswood and Crestview. Check their site for hours etc.
• Sargent MCC is at 644 Burnell and open Tue – Sat: 10am – 4pm.
• Selkirk MCC is at 511 Selkirk ave, open Tue – Sat: 10am – 4pm.
• Style Encore is like Plato’s Closet, but for a bit older – I call it the mom version of it. One location in winnipeg, 1094 Nairn.
• The Up Shoppe is at 382 Selkirk ave. They offer new and used at affordable prices. Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm.
• Thrive Thrift Store is at 555 Spence Street. Not sure of hours because their website doesn’t work – but they do have a facebook page that is updated.
• Value Village has 5 locations in Winnipeg – Nairn, Ellice, Jefferson, Pembina and Portage. Check their site for hours.
