Canada Day activities around the city!

26 Jun

Looking for something fun to do with the family on Canada Day? Here are a few free and fun ideas!

The Forks is having their big all day celebration – music, entertainment, lots of family friendly fun – and fireworks at 11pm if the weather agrees! 🙂 Are they usually at 11? Seems later to me this year, maybe I’m just older! 😉

Assiniboine Park has a full day too of fun – lots to do for the whole family. Make sure to check out their sites to see the times and what is going on.

Osborne village has theirs on too – they close off part of the street and throw a big party, lots to see and do.

What are you planning to do on Canada Day? I always look forward to this holiday, fun day to relax with the family and show some Canadian Pride! Anyone cooking anything Canadian-ish or themed colours etc? Always looking for fun projects to do with kids for holidays!

If you know of any other great events post them up to share! 🙂

  1. I’ve been looking for a site that lists activities outside the city. So far no luck! I find that the Winnipeg events are sooooo crowded. I’m hoping for a summary of events to appear soon. Otherwise we’ll probably visit someplace with a beach and spend the day 🙂 Happy Canada Day everyone!

    • Come ask in our facebook group – lots of people from out of town and i know there’s usually a lot going on. A beach sounds fun too! 🙂

    • I have a few things listed on my site that might help! The towns of Winnipeg Beach and Lac Du Bonnet have activities all day, and Lower Fort Garry celebrates as well!
