#BOBSbySKECHERS – Great local event in #Winnipeg and an awesome giveaway!

skechers event winnipegOn May 31st in Winnipeg Skechers teamed up with Quarks and CanU to provide 3,000 pairs of new BOBS from SKECHERS shoes to children in need.

The kids and their families enjoyed a day of shoe decorating, complimentary snacks provided by Pizza Hotline and Costco Wholesale, plus visits from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers cheerleaders and team mascots including Mick E. Moose from the Winnipeg Jets as well as Goldie from the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

Did you know that since the BOBS from SKECHERS program launched in 2011, SKECHERS has donated more than eight million pairs of new shoes to children in need. Partnering with Head Start programs, education foundations, homeless shelters and 501(c)(3) organizations, SKECHERS assists children and families in communities across the United States and around the world.

BOBS shoes have also been an integral part of disaster relief in New York and New Jersey following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy, more than 200,000 pairs were donated to those affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, and more recently in Mississippi as part of tornado disaster relief. Internationally, BOBS footwear donations reach children in more than 30 countries around the world – from Central and South America to Asia and Africa.

Bobs Skechers ladiesCanU Canada is an after school program that inspires hope and confidence in inner city youth. Through the effort of university student mentors, CanU Canada participants leave CanU with an understanding of how they are called to be leaders in their community.

So many fun choices for kids and adults shoes. My daughter absolutely loves hers, they’re comfy enough to wear all day and they look great with a variety of outfits. And some of the adult ones even have memory foam – a nice way to keep your feet happy in the summer while wearing a super cute pair of shoes! 🙂
