Whether you decide to head out to shop for black Friday, or shop from home on black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s a good idea to be prepared and plan ahead!
If you’re going out to shop, plan out the stores you want to go to. If you’re going to a mall, check the hours and map out the stores you want to go to in order. If you’re shopping for clothes and shoes, make sure to wear things that you can quickly change in and out of.
Be prepared to have a few ways to pay, in case machines are down or if they have shorter lines for debit or cash etc.
If you’re going to head to several stores, make sure to hide purchases really well in your car! And while you’re out shopping, bringing along a bag carrier is always a good plan! Planning out your parking can be a big time saver too – even better, getting dropped off!
If you’re shopping from home and plan to use a pre-paid card, make sure to register it online more than 24 hours before you plan to use it. Some cards just won’t work for the 1st day! Paypal is another simple option for quick checkouts too. Just make sure all your accounts you plan to use are in order – make an account for the store you plan to shop at beforehand to save time at checkout.
Make sure to check for bonus promo codes, free shipping etc. too for those stores! Every little bit extra helps and a quick google search is all it takes! And if you can, sign in through airmiles or ebates to get even more savings! Be aware of their minimum to ship – can always combine with a friend if you didn’t meet it, or order things you’d normally buy at the store instead to get over the limit.
If you do plan to shop online and are hoping to get a hot deal, make sure to stay up late for it! A lot of the deals will go live at 12:01, and from past years things sell out really, really quickly! Check out as quickly as you can once you add something in your cart!
What are your tips for shopping on really busy days? Do you plan to shop in stores or from home? Or not at all during these events?
