All that Glows: Then & Now – At the Electrical Museum

8 Nov

electrical museumAnother free and fun family event to add to your calendars!!

From Nov. 23rd to Dec. 30th at the Electrical Museum you can check out an exhibit of holiday lighting from past to present.

It’s free admission, they have lots of free parking there and it’s at 680 Harrow st.

If you haven’t been before, this is a great museum to check out. Lots of interesting history and facts – lots to learn but in a really fun setting.

For this event they have a replica 1940’s kitchen, a streetcar – all kinds of fun stuff!

There’s also a holiday wreath raffle, a special winter wine night that sounds really fun (that one isn’t free of course!) and also a big Free Family Fun Day on Dec. 12th from 10am to 2pm where they will have hot chocolate and sleigh rides.

The museum is open Monday to Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There’s extra hours for the All That Glows: Wednesdays, December 2, 9, & 16 from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturdays, December 5, 12, & 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a fun place to check out year round, but a must see during the holidays too! Check out their website for more info, and for all their displays during the year.

And if you know of a great family event coming up in Winnipeg, make sure to let me know! 🙂
