Skip The Dishes Review – and enter to win a $50 credit!

7 Dec

When you really don’t feel like cooking, or have a craving for food from a specific restaurant, Skip The Dishes is the perfect choice!

We order pretty often from them, have a few fave restaurants that we order from, it’s good when we have extra people over and also fun to try out some new places.

If you haven’t ordered before, it’s super easy to do. Go on the website and put in your address – you then get a list of restaurants that deliver to your area! It’s a lot to choose from! Pick the one you want and then you get to see their delivery menu. Choose your food – and there’s always options for customizing too, more sauce, less spicy etc.   You can even add notes in for the restaurant or driver.

Your order gets placed with the restaurant and the site matches you with a driver – you then get to get a timeline on your food. It will tell you when your driver picks it up, and you get to follow along a little car that’s headed from the restaurant to your house on the screen. There’s also a time too, it will fluctuate a bit due to traffic etc.

You can prepay online (even the tip) so when they show up you can just get the food and that’s it. You’re ready to eat!

Skip The Dishes asked me to try it out and spread the word – we’re already big fans so that was easy to do! We order a lot just for regular meals, but have ordered when we’ve all been too sick to go out which is great too. Booster Juice, chicken noodle soup – we live in a great time! Place an order online and food shows up at your door – what could be better. One thing I love is when we are out, I can place the order on my phone and scheduele it for when we know we will be back home. So handy!

This time we ordered Indian food from Clay Oven -I normally get quite a few appetizers, as they’re my favourite. At the bottom of their menu I noticed an appetizer party tray, which was awesome! I wish I had a picture of my daughters face when she answered the door and saw it! This kid will eat all the Paneer Pakora there is, so that was a great choice for us. And of course had to get my favourite, butter chicken. The food showed up on time, driver was nice, food was hot and well made, well packaged – couldn’t have gone any better. Nice to get to really choose what you want to eat too, get everyone’s favourites. The picture is me totally relaxing – first friday night that we’ve had at home in forever, eating in front of the tv with a glass of wine balanced on my legs – #RealLife 🙂
