Manitoba Parks Reservations Scheduele for Yurts, cabins and camping for 2014

If you’re dreaming of camping or spending some time relaxing in a cabin or yurt, make sure to mark these dates on your calendar and get ready for when the reservations start.

Campsite Reservations for Birds Hill campground, and cabin and yurt rentals will start on March 24th at 7am.

All other campgrounds and campsite rentals will start on April 7th at 7am.

I know in previous years opening day for cabins you had to book a week at a time – so make sure to check their site for all the details before booking.

If you’re booking online make sure to have your account set up and password ready and working before.

If you’ve never rented a cabin or yurt through the govt, it’s a great cheap option for a holiday! The prices are super reasonable, we’ve rented a cabin in Gimli for the last few years. The campground is really nice and quiet and the cabins are really nice, surprisingly so for the price you pay! The beach at the campground is really fun to explore, there’s a play area for kids, lots of open fields to play in and sunken flower gardens and more to check out. Makes for a great family holiday. The cabins have running water and washrooms, and electricity, fridge, microwave etc.

The yurts are really cute too, and in Gimli a lot of them are overlooking the beach. No bathrooms in those, but they are really close to the washrooms.

Cabins start at $37 for a two person in Hecla all the way up to $78 for a 6 person one in Gimli at Camp Morton.
