So, the holidays are over and it’s back to real life – school and work lunches etc. so a good time for a big grocery shop and get ready for this cold weather. Always nice to be well stocked and not have to run out for just one item. Also time to clean out those coupon binders and get rid of all the 2013 ones.

Safeway and Sobeys both have 10% off on tuesday – always a good day to shop for extra savings with no effort.

Sobeys has some weekend only deals – cucumbers, salad and tomatoes are $1.49 each. Cracker Barrel cheese is $3 for a 300g pack – you can freeze cheese easily, it might be a little crumbly after but good for cooking, shredding etc.

Rest of the week they have pasta for 99 cents each, lots of produce deals. There’s a promo to earn 1000 bonus Sobeys points when you spend $25 or more on participating p&g products – lots of coupons for those. Sunrype 1L juice is 99 cents too, limit of 12.

Buy a 4L milk and a pack of Oreos and get $3 off. Also buy 350g minimum of pulled pork and get a free pack of mini slider buns – perfect for a busy night or even for lunches 🙂 We’ve bought their deli pulled pork sliders and they were a big hit in the lunchbox.

Safeway has weekend only deals, smart ones frozen entrees are $2 each. Mini Babybel are $4 a pack – always good for snacks and lunches.

Rest of the week they have their box of frozen chicken on sale for $26. Great for crockpot meals. Kraft Dinner cases, pizza pops and primo pasta are bogof.

Lots of lunch type stuff on sale, juice boxes, sandwich meat, condiments etc.  Blueberries and blackberries are 2 for $5. Lots of sales on citrus fruits this week too.

Target is having their white sale – up to 50% off on certain items, like pillows for $4, sheets for $9, duvet for $15, bath towels for $3,$5 or $7. Lots of sales on bed in a bags too.

Also up to 50% off on select home and sporting goods…lamps, candles, dishware, some skates are half price etc.

Still lots of clearance in store too, like 50% off on clothes and sleepwear for the whole family. I picked up a $5 pair of Mossimo jeans last time I was there and they’re very comfy and nice, pretty good deal.

Lots of lunch stuff on sale too, juice boxes, cheese strings etc.  Archer Farms coffee is on for $4.77.
