Did you know that Mark’s sells heated clothing? Neither did I, until my husband got to test out this amazing heated jacket! It’s a great idea, especially with this cold snap we are having.
The way it works is that you have a rechargeable battery pack – charge it up at home and you’re good for all day! The jacket itself is a nice warm coat – but with the heat on you can be comfy and warm no matter the temperature outside.
My husband was the tester for this one, since he works outside. He’s been wearing it for over a month now – and his work is really dirty and the jacket still looks great. He likes that there’s 3 different settings so you can adjust for the outdoor temperature too. The jacket is heated at different parts too -and it’s as easy as plugging the battery into your front pocket (so glad they didn’t do it at the back since he wears it in the car too of course) and you push a button and it heats up within minutes. He bangs into stuff at work a lot (we’ve gone through several cell phone cases) and this battery pack is no worse for wear at all. It’s really made for being outside no matter what you’re doing – a really well thought out coat.
I think this jacket is a great idea if you work outside – but I also think it’s perfect for hunting and fishing since you won’t be moving around a lot, and also to be watching or coaching kids hockey or other outdoors events where you stand still and get cold quickly. At first I was a bit shocked at the sticker price, the regular price being $280, but when you think about how long a good quality jacket will last a guy it totally makes sense as a good investment! I saw this today at Marks and I really want one for myself, but I’m trying to compare to the Milwaukee heated hoodie. I think the Dakota one would be better because its made of fleece. Does your husbands still work? Does it heat in the arms as well or just the chest area and radiates out?

Don’t buy the Dakota. They are junk. It worked great till the heating system quit (both batteries) after a total of about 4 weeks use. Marks w.wh. was not interested in my issues. Might just have well have flushed the $300 plus down the toilet
What would cause the thermal electric vest I have to turn off by itself when the battery is fully charged and all connections that I can check are connected proprely? It is a Dakota.
People don’t waste your money buying this heated jacket they are garbage the first one failed shortly after I bought it I have to say that Marks was good enough to replace it but then again the second one also failed after getting very little use out of it and the sales person told me that she had bought for her husband it also failed very exspensive jacket for the money very disappointing

The Dakota’s are junk. 2 batteries lasted about 4 weeks of total use over 3 years. $300 plus wasted. Marks work warehouse not interested in my issue
I purchased this wonderful jacket for my husband about 4 years ago, and he just loves it. However, this year, the jacket doesn’t not heat up and the light does not come on, the battery is fully charged. What could be wrong? We’ve checked all the wires and everything seems to be fine. Do we need to purchase a new lithium battery?any help you can give us would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the heated hoodie and love it ,ran strong and kept me warm ice fishing .battery lasts long and even put it in the wash and still works as new .
